Adam Swim has spent five years putting out house singles on a schedule most producers cannot hold, one every few months since 2021, nearly all of them in the same lane. “This Feeling” does not break that pattern. It tightens it.
The groove is the whole point. It settles early and stays put, low end steady underneath, mids pushed forward and bright without turning brittle, a melodic line drifting up in the vocal register over a bed that barely shifts. I like records that trust a groove this much. Four and a half minutes of a track that would rather hold its shape than chase a peak.
The release bundles “Dreamingofu” from April and “Stay” from May behind it, which turns a Cascade Records single into a decent summary of his 2026. “Stay” is the outlier, filed disco while the other two stay house. His archive page has catching up to do on a producer who has been this steady this long.
What I like most is the restraint. Swim has had five years to learn how to hold a groove still without letting it go flat, and “This Feeling” is him doing it without any visible effort.
