Ohhhhhh boy, get ready to wrap your ears around one of the biggest diss tracks ever heard in EDM! Mayor Apeshit’s on fire, nailing pretty much everything that’s wrong with EDM and some of the big names who sit easy at the top, making millions while outsourcing all of the work and creativity (if there is any) to people who get no credit for it. Drugs are also on the hit list, with Mayor Apeshit making it very clear that the EDM scene is not about drugs (which is absolutely true).
Arius and TinyC nail the production too, with the backing instrumental sounding as fierce as Mayor Apeshit’s vocals, and the drops all being lovely and heavy. This is the kind of attitude that we need to see towards the artists that free ride their way to the top, hopefully with the end result being more creativity, and attention and money going to the people who deserve it. Buckle up, because Industry is one hell of a ride. Give it a listen!
