That lead keeps sliding out from under the kick on Chasing, metallic and a little detuned, bending toward a note it never quite lands on. Bruno Martini and Schillist hand it the whole floor and let it talk.
The build takes its time, which is the part that earns the rest of it. The filter creeps open over a clean four-on-the-floor, everything narrows, and then the drop passes the melody straight to that bass and gets out of the way. No stacking, no second lead fighting it for space. Just the one voice with room around it and the kick working underneath. It rolls.
Martini is the Brazilian producer who co-wrote Hear Me Now with Alok and Zeeba back in 2016, a song that went nuclear and shares almost nothing with this. He put out Electric alongside Thomas Gold on the same label earlier this year, so the Bruno Martini run we follow here has been pointed at this lane for a while. Schillist knows the room too, first landing on Future House Music next to Liu and Khouri for Sounds Of The Underground. Chasing is out now on the label.
It lands in the hours when the crowd has burned down to the people who actually came to dance. Future house spent a few years coasting on the sound it made in 2015. Chasing does not look back at it.
