Dani Thorne – Itty Bitty

Dani Thorne - Itty Bitty

Itty Bitty is a loop that tightens the longer it runs. It narrows down to a kick and one nagging synth line, holds that a beat past comfortable, then swings the whole thing back open. That squeeze is the part that got me.

Dani Thorne builds this one lean and lets the low end do the driving. There is no big reach for the rafters here, just a mean, hypnotic loop, the kind of patience techno rewards. She trusts the tension to carry it, and it does.

It arrives through Dim Mak, and for now it is the whole story on her here. The Dani Thorne page here is empty until this one, which makes it an easy place to start paying attention before the catalog gets crowded.

This one is for late, once the floor has thinned out and nobody is filming anymore. A loop like this stops being a track around then and turns into a mood you cannot quite step back out of.

About Jeremy Dentelstein

Jeremy writes the longer pieces: melodic techno and house, the deep and the emotional, plus interviews and the occasional deep dive. He listens for the build before the drop and the feeling after it, and would rather sit with a track for a week than rush a verdict.
