The bassline bounces instead of walking, a fat rubber note run through a filter until it squeaks on the way back down. Kcat sits on top of it with a clean, full-throated take that never scraps with the low end for room. That contrast is why the thing works.
My Destiny is not a new song. Delinquent and Kcat cut it in 2008, back when 4×4 and bassline were running UK clubs, and Ministry of Sound has put it back out this spring with Mike Delinquent Project credited alongside them.
The 2026 edit runs two and a half minutes. Short. I would take the longer version and its full breakdown every time, but the trim drops you straight onto the hook and the groove never sags across the middle.
The remix package is the interesting part. Special Request and Sunship are both on it, and so is Denon Reed. A tune that holds up under that many rewrites was built properly the first time, and eighteen years later the original still sounds like the one to beat.
