Eelke Kleijn named his label DAYS like NIGHTS after the in-between hours, and the catalog he has built there keeps that promise. Another Life is the newest arrival, made with Budakid, a newer name in the same deep melodic seam, and sung by Nathan Nicholson of The Boxer Rebellion.
Nicholson is the detail that sold me. His is the voice that carried Call On Me when Junge Junge and MOGUAI got hold of it, and few singers sit more naturally at the emotional end of dance music. Putting him over a Kleijn and Budakid production is casting that makes sense before you hear a single note.
The facts are in place too. Another Life arrived July 24 through Armada Music under exclusive license from DAYS like NIGHTS, the single carries an extended mix for the long sets, and Above & Beyond slotted it into Group Therapy 687 a day later.
