The drop hits and the bass just snarls, this thick reese that keeps folding back on itself while the breaks scramble underneath. Freaks & Geeks and DUX built Cut Em Down to move, and it does not pretend otherwise.
This is drum and bass at a full sprint, and the two of them run it like a chase scene. The first time the drop landed I was nodding before I decided to. The low end carries all the weight, gnarled and restless, and the breaks stay tight enough that none of it turns to mush. No wasted space. This is rail music, built for the front row where the sub does the talking.
Monstercat put it out, and the label knows what to do with a roller like this. It is the first time Freaks & Geeks land in the bythewavs archive, which is a loud way to show up.
Two names I did not have on the same track until now, and the pairing clicks the second the bass moves. Cut Em Down does not ask for your patience. It just goes.
