Gryffin put this one out himself, and that detail is worth sitting with before anything else.
World Away arrived July 24 with BUNT. alongside him and Inéz on the vocal, and the copyright line reads Gryffin LLC rather than a label, which means he owned this record end to end. Spinnin’ handled the upload, nothing more. He has spent most of the last decade releasing through other people’s imprints, so a self-released single with two collaborators on it reads like a decision rather than a leftover, and decisions are usually where the good ones come from.
The company he is keeping points somewhere warm. Save it for the drive back from the water with the salt still on you, the hour when the day is finished and nobody in the car wants to say so out loud.
He is well covered here: Feel Good with Illenium, All You Need To Know with SLANDER, and his page holds the rest. This is the first time BUNT. has turned up on this site, which I plan to correct. Out now. Go sit with it.
