Koven have never really needed a label to vouch for them, but Liquicity is the right address for this one and I am glad it ended up there.
Heartbeat came out July 9 on Liquicity Records, with MrSuicideSheep putting it up the same week and cover art by Huang Fan. Koven have spent over a decade as one of the few drum and bass acts carrying a permanent vocalist inside the group instead of running a guest list, and Liquicity is the label built for exactly the melodic, sung end of 170. The fit is almost too neat, which is usually when these two get it right.
Save this one for the walk home at 3am, the stretch where the adrenaline has drained off and you are just tired and happy about it.
