Most peak-time records hide the heart. Maddix does the opposite on Coming Home, and that choice is what kept me reaching for the rewind. He runs the whole thing at 155, full rave-techno pressure, then hands the top to a real voice and lets it carry.
That is Caroline Roxy on the topline, and the way Maddix folds her in is the trick. The build holds back longer than you expect, the kick stays patient, and right when you think he is going to bury her under the drop she becomes the drop. It locks in around the two-minute mark and just rolls, low end driving, vocal soaring over the top. Save this one for the part of the night after the headliner clears out and the smaller stage is still going at 2am, sky already gone dark.
It is out on EXTATIC Records, the label Maddix launched in 2023 with Revealed, the same lane as the rest of his rave-techno run. If you want more festival-trance in this emotional register, Shane 54’s Paradise sits next to it nicely.
Out now on EXTATIC Records via Revealed, grab the Extended Mix on Beatport and turn it up.
