Solomun tipped his hand on Max Styler two summers ago. Styler’s Let Em’ Know made the official mix of his Tomorrowland 2024 b2b with Four Tet, and Solomun does not let filler into a set he knows is getting pressed. So this remix of One More, Styler’s cut with Ad-Apt, reads like follow-through, not a favor.
We have covered Styler since the big-room days, from Roller Coaster with Dirty Audio to Heartache and its remix pack, and the through line is a producer who writes straight at the floor. I did not expect the deep end of the pool to come calling for that catalog, which is exactly why I care. When a selector this picky picks up a club record, he heard something in the groove worth keeping.
The remix has been out since March as a two-track single with the original alongside it, and per the release info it points at what is next: Styler’s I Don’t Think I Can Stop EP, announced for August 7.
