Kryder and Oliver Heldens on the same record is a pairing I have wanted for a while. Putting The Young Punx on it is the part I did not see coming.
AEIOU landed July 24 on Heldeep, Heldens’ own imprint, and that tells you which half of his catalogue this belongs to. He has run two lanes for a decade now, the future house records under his own name and the harder, darker work as HI-LO, and a Heldeep release is him picking the first one on purpose. Kryder comes at house from the sunnier, big-room side. The meeting point between those two is the whole reason to press play, and The Young Punx are the wildcard that keeps it from being predictable.
Future house is what Heldeep was built for, so file it there and play it in daylight. This is the early-evening slot, the set where the sun is still up and nobody has decided to be cool yet.
Heldens is well covered here already, from Flamingo through the HI-LO edit of MHATLP with Da Hool, and the rest of his run is here. Kryder’s page has his turns through the archive. Out now on Heldeep Records. Get it loud.
