Sudley, Loboski, ShockOne, Hanne Mjøen. It is the third name on that list that made me sit up straight. ShockOne runs deep in our archive, all the way back to the City Lock era and that Gamma link-up with HWLS, and his name on a fresh drum and bass file is still enough to make me clear the next four minutes.
Here is the sheet on Terminal: a four-name single that landed on Monstercat’s Uncaged side, which is where the label sends the heavy stuff, running a lean 3:46. The wildcard is Hanne Mjøen. We have covered her pop lane since Vanilla, and seeing that name stacked next to three producers on a dnb cut is the kind of casting that gets me to hit play twice.
The title is doing work too. Terminal is the track you play on the dead sprint through the airport to a gate that is already boarding, bag strap in your teeth. Drum and bass was built for exactly that heart rate.
Terminal is out now on Monstercat, released July 17. Hit play below and do not board without it.
