Whales dropped Speed Of Light on Monstercat, and the title alone tells you the plan. You do not call a dubstep track Speed Of Light unless you intend to floor it.
Monstercat filed this under dubstep, and on that roster the tag means the heavy end, the corner built for the rail and the bass face instead of the radio. That is exactly where I want a Whales release to sit. Hand me a title that promises velocity and a low end built to move air, and I am already reaching for the volume.
If you came up on the heaviest side of Monstercat, Speed Of Light lands in that neighborhood, the same roster that gave us Excision and Space Laces going full demolition on Throwin’ Elbows. Keep the Whales archive locked too, because this is a name worth tracking on the low end.
Play it loud and play it in motion, the highway at night when you want the speedometer to match the name. Speed Of Light is out now on Monstercat. Naming a dubstep track after the fastest thing there is sets a bar most producers would flinch at, and Whales put his own name on it anyway.
