Three of Monstercat’s heaviest names on one Uncaged cut. YDG, SampliFire, and Z3LLA linked up for Heart On Fire, and the second I saw that lineup I stopped what I was doing and pulled it up.
Here is why the names matter. YDG built his reputation dragging other people’s tracks somewhere nastier, and if you have heard his flip of Knife Party’s Battle Sirens you know he does not flinch. SampliFire runs on the same voltage, the guy who named an EP Ragnarok and meant it. Put those two on a dubstep record with Z3LLA and you can guess how much of the low end is aimed at your chest.
This is not the headphones-on-the-couch listen. Heart On Fire wants the pit, the front rail, the Lost Lands crowd throwing down while the sun is still up. Play it loud or do not bother.
Want the warm-up? Dig through the SampliFire archive first. Heart On Fire dropped June 24 on Monstercat and it is streaming everywhere, Spotify and Apple Music and YouTube included. An original from all three, not a flip or a bootleg, is exactly the swing I wanted from these names.
