Even though this is their third song together, new super-duo 1000volt has just burst onto the scene with Lights Out. Redman and Jayceeoh have combined forces to create 1000volts, a Trap/Hip Hop duo that’s already showing how good they are. Redman opens the song with some fire rapping, before Jayceeoh drops some Future Bass in an extended drop that’s as uplifting as it is catchy. Redman’s vocals overlay on the second part of the drop, in perhaps the first time that a classic hip hop icon has been heard on a Future Bass tune.
The duo nail every part of this epic, combining mean rapping, epic drops and extended build ups and breakdowns to create a piece of music that’s the product of 90’s Hip Hop colliding with modern EDM in epic proportions.
