Looking for a song with a person’s name in it, that I like, is actually a lot tougher than it seems. Therfore, I was pretty liberal with who’s name I decided to go with. “Mario” is technically a name, even if the artist spelt it i the title a bit uniquely. Therefore, I went with MVRIO KVRT by Aylen. The homage to my child, Mario Kart racing, the Super Mario characters and dance music made this song a track I listen to all the time. Hell, listening to it recently has been pushing me to go buy the new Nitendo Switch. It may be a bit impulsive, but it stuff like that makes me want to listen to a song again and again.
Some of the first music I found when I joined twitter was by an artist named Leo Pigot (now known as LEWO). The electro house style was one I could easily dance to and listened to often as I was doing my best to learn to produce music. Though my music taste grew and broadened to include many other genres, this song, “Maria Antionette”, always brings me back to my older days just getting into the dance music scene and how bright-eyed and bushy-tailed I was.
Yes I realize the name is spelled differently historically, but I think we all know who Marie Antoinette was as her beheading is one of the most famous in all of history! Check out one of my old school favorite electro house tracks below!
