Lana Del Rey. Heavenly is really the only adjective I have that comes close to describing her voice, especially with the subject matter of this song, “Young & Beautiful”. The heavy subject matter is brightened a bit with my choice being the Kaskade remix of this track, bringing it firmly into the dance music world. The soft remix that Kaskade works upon this song enhances the focus on Lana’s voice as the melodies fade in and out of the background depending on the chorus or verse of the track.
There are other artist voices that are something special, but Lana Del Rey’s voice stands above them all in the original and is brought to a focus with the Kaskade remix of it. Listen below and I’m sure you’ll agree.
When I am writing, it is actually pretty common to see me rite that I love the vocals on a track. I have a preference for tracks that are vocal. So, to have to pick just one track that has amazing vocals is tough. The result? Going to the all-around, ultra talented Lido. He took Alessia Cara’s Here and completely twisted it up to follow the same context but be in the style of Blue’s and be about writing music and touring instead of being at parties and clubs.
When Lido sings, I don’t really think about anything else. One of the best experiences I ever had was being able to see and hear him perform live at a small venue in Philadelphia. His talent is endless, if you ever get a chance check him out.
