After the news broke of a lawsuit that had been filed against Disclosure claiming many of the songs off their album Settle were plagiarized, a response has been posted on Disclosure’s Facebook page. Guy and Howard claim that any songs written by them, are theirs alone, except where they have collaborated with other artists and given due credit.
“We take great pride in our self sufficiency, our work and the way we work, and it’s incredibly frustrating when someone tries to take that away from us, by claiming we stole even one word or one note of our music from anyone.”
The post on Facebook ends on a much lighter note where the duo remark that their sophomore album is coming along nicely. It will certainly be good to get back to the music and the positive vibes that Disclosure always brings.
