Tinlicker have established a reputation for very well-produced progressive EDM, with a signing to Feed Me’s label Sotto Voce last year and a subsequent EP that put them on many peoples’ radars. Their latest song shows that their style is as progressive as their music – Gazoline is a Progressive Techno song, with fast pulsating backing synths used throughout the expanse of the track and a graunching lead synth that gives it a personality. Laura Louise’s vocals are catchy yet understated, and suit the song perfectly. You won’t hear a lot of Techno in the EDM scene nowadays, especially Progressive Techno, but the quality of this song begs the question as to why it isn’t more popular. It will be released as a part of Tinlicker’s Into The Open EP, out on Beatport on the 14th of April and other platforms on the 28th.
