Oh about 6 months ago, a new electronic act popped up onto the scene, releasing a few tracks per month on Soundcloud, going by the moniker, ‘Wish I Was.’ Without any indications of who this mystery artist was, we all sort of accepted the music and let the darker side of edm sweep us away with its emotional waves. Here are a few of those tracks.

With no word as to who was behind the productions, the collective audience could only twiddle their thumbs and hope this mystery producer revealed themselves and took credit for tracks that were gaining an audience. Well, if you know me (it is perfectly ok that you don’t) then you know I was as shocked by anyone with the reveal.

TyDi is Wish I Was. The music is recorded and not looped for time savings. This marvelous side project of TyDi’s is something a little darker and deeper than we might have expected, but it does not disappoint in any manner. If you haven’t, I urge you to check out the songs above and really listen for that signature TyDi sound. It’s there, hard to hear, but once you know it’s him, logic wins and Occam’s Razor takes over. With his ‘Redefined’ Tour and now side project ‘Wish I Was,’ TyDi is off to an incredible 2015.
