It’s time for some new ‘Flip’ business again, offered by the courtesy of the enigmatic West Coast-based producer Garrett Lockhart aka Fawks who, as a member of the that new ‘terrible generation’ (how I like to call it), he’s literally assaulting the scene, climbing quickly the worldwide ranking with his amazing fresh touch.
After releasing a massive remix package of rap champions like of Drake, Big Sean, Rae Sremmund, he managed his hands on another classic, this time directly from the trap’s Olympus.
The track in question is ‘Core’ by the mastermind RL Grime and, as you can immagine, Fawks has completely upset that trap anthem, turning it into a groovy and dirty Future Bass (in full Jauz style to understand).
The unpredictable combination between house atmosphere and the well renowned horn, it’s particulary effective and gives to the track a proper rebirth, compensating the lack tof dynamism (which might be the only fault of the original version) and allowing even to non-trap fans to benefit of this masterpiece.
Personally I think this is the best production so far from the american youngster but, if I wasn’t convincing enough and you are still undecided to press play or not, you also have to know that this outstanding flip is premiered by no other than the Nest Hq, so, do you really think that Skrillex can go wrong?
