Joel has a lot of fun trolling the internet and messing with fans and “colleagues” alike. Well recently, he has done something a little differently. He isn’t just someone who likes to troll, however. Generosity is another common trait for Deadmau5. The latest example of his generosity is releasing a huge sample pack for public use.
The sample pack contains 110 MIKI melodies and 73 drum samples which the DJ has collected over the years. The pack, referred to as Chimaera, is royalty free. Producers are able to use the samples without having to pay. Joel has expressed that he does not care about royalties because he wants the sample to go to use.
