Will the Zoo happen again? We hope so and with the recent activity on their twitter page the rumors are starting to boil. It looks promising….

Will the Zoo be coming back to NYC? The unfortunate events of last year filled all us animals with doubt but their Twitter pages begs to differ. Let the EDM Gods bless us and bring about it’s return. The lineup is always incredible from the Sunday School Tent with the likes of Claude Von Stroke and John Digweed to the Hilltop Arena and Riverside Tents representing heavy hitters like Datsik and Zomboy.  The main stage is nothing less than paramount hailing acts like Dada Life and Above & Beyond. If the festival does indeed happen, we will all celebrate the return with open arms. It serves as  our nightcap of the summer. Ultra starts us off and Electric Zoo closes her out. Held every year during Labor Day weekend everyone is ready to let it all hang out one last time before winter rears it’s ugly head and us animals go into hibernation.

2. Hudson Project Music Festival

The cancellation of Camp Bisco was a massive let down for a lot of people, including me.  Hudson Music Project is a welcomed replacement. This line up is ridiculous.  Bassnectar, Conspirator, Excision, Flaming Lips, Modest Mouse, Kendrick Lamar and Bro Safari to name a few. A great mixture of jambands and EDM. The perfect mix you would want to rage to in the middle of summer. This is basically Bisco with a new name minus the 9 Disco Biscuits sets. With Bassnectar returning to upstate NY, you know it’s going to be one hell of a party. His set was so intense last year and the bass so massive, the stage sunk a few inches and the festival organizers had to bring in cranes and cancel a few sets the following day. The Hudson Project’s lineup is ill and completely makes up for Bisco not happening. This replacement has my approval as it should yours.

1.     Mysteryland

Mysteyland in the US? Honestly, what more could US ravers want. This is the quintessential festival for EDM music with insane production value and a stellar lineup. The icing on the cake is the location. Where festival culture started in 1969  – Woodstock. With stages unlike any you’ve ever seen, EDM artists from all genres, on site camping, interactive art, a HUGE Teddy Bear that everyone wants to hug and the distinguished reputation Mysteryland has around the world, there is not much else you could wish for in a festival. Mysteryland has graced the land of many countries, starting in the Netherlands as The first Electronic Music Festival traveling across the Atlantic to South America and finally landing in 2014 on US soil. Thank the EDM Gods.
