I was lucky enough to have a quick chat with 3LAU or referring to him with his real name, Justin about his new label ‘Blume’ as well as future releases and collaborations of his. I really appreciate him and his team for taking time out of their busy schedule, as he had to catch a flight very quick after his set at Spring Awakening. One thing I’m very glad to say is we instantly hit things off about shoes, I recall him having a pair for 4th of July one year so I kind of started the conversation there when I had first met up with him and his manager, while we were finding a spot to sit down away from all the insanely loud music.
Big respect to Justin though, he runs the first label I know of that is completely non-profit and donates it all to charity. He’ll be releasing all his solo-releases on there, collaborations are a bit harder for that however he will try his best. He already raised $10,000 for Pencils of Promise, and once he hits $100,000 he’s having the fans choose the next charity. Big ups man, and here’s to a great rest of the year!
