Just recently, Movoto released heat charts to show where in America each music genre is popular. They gathered data from the National Endowment of the Arts, the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, and the United States Bureau of Economic Analysis to create these maps. You know they are legit. May surprise you a bit, but they are the real deal. As you’ll see, EDM is extremely popular in the tri-state area aka New York, Philadelphia, and Atlantic City. I’d think it would go down to Washington DC, but this may be a bit dated. It is also popular on the West Coast around Los Angeles. No surprises there. See where all the genres are popular below!
