The name Spag Heddy. How did that all come about?
Just joking around with roommates. Spag Hetti & MC Roni was the original idea.
How did you like working with Buygore on your last EP release Og Meatball?
Like meatballs in my spaghetti! It all went really smooth, I had a bunch of tunes laying around that they liked, and in no time they had great artwork and a release date settled. Next to that they host awesome shows!
What artist out there would like to collaborate with?
The idea is there to do something with Borgore which should be tight. I’d love to collab with any NSD guy really, or Disciple, but also Snails and Ookay.
If you could have a dream tour with any two other artists who would that be and why?
Skrillex and Kill The Noise. They’ve been my biggest sources of inspiration for music for years, and are kind humans.
How did you like Toxic Summer? How did you like going b2b with Dubloadz?
Both the pre-game as the main event have been amazing. It was a privilege to meet and be on the lineup with so many superstars in the genre. The b2bloadz was totally unprepared and we had the greatest time.
Are there any differences in playing shows in the states vs Spain?
Absolutely. Spain there’s not many places with a dubstep scene, but where there are they throw great parties. But in the States there’s in general way more hype and entertainment at shows. Things like the dancers, kandi, lightshows, (no) clothing, and they come driving from literally everywhere no matter how many hours it is. Don’t get me wrong in Europe there are very hype shows too, but in the States it feels more like it;s own culture.
What got you into producing dubstep? How did that come about?
Caspa & Rusko’s Fabric live 37 made me fall in love with wobbles. A little later Skrillex came about and I could relate to his twist on dubstep way more. I’ve always liked the rougher sides of music genres. And producing. Creating.
Do you any new projects on the way/collaborations on the way?
I’m just wrapping up my 4th new remix. And yes friendships are being made too. Can’t say much more but the cooking never stops!
Do you have favorite show/festival that you’ve played that sticks out to you?
Every show and festival stood out in it’s own way to me. Toxic Summer was an amazing experience thanks to great organization and a huge show(up), the atmosphere and people at Big Dub Fest was magical, the one off Canada show in Montreal was small in cap but a huge positive energy explosion, Miami for being Miami obviously, and the list goes on.
How do you like Philly? Did you get to explore around at all while you were here?
I absolutely loved the underground feel of the show, and really it was a packed place of unstoppable bassheads! I had to recover from that the next day so I’ve been hanging in Philly for a bit but took it really easy, also to not melt in the heat. Oh and took my first train in the US and that was fun too.
