When Rob Swire tweeted last month about wrapping up on a new music project, fans of Knife Party and Pendulum were left in the dark wondering what he was talking about, but finally everything is out in the open, and the news couldn’t be more exciting! The recent tweet revealed that Knife Party is wrapping up their next album to be released later this year. Knife Party’s tweet reads, “Album update: 9 of 12 tracks confirmed, 5 in the “maybe” pile, 5 in the “ideas” stage. 2 weeks til mastering”. With nearly 20 songs to work with, I can imagine narrowing it down to a 12-track album must be difficult, but it just means that some great quality music is on the horizon!
Now that the duo is no longer locked in the studio, you can see them getting some needed time with the sun on their upcoming festival schedule. Knife Party will hit Tomorrowland in Belgium for both weekends, as well as appearing at Spring Awakening Festival in Chicago, Veld Festival in Toronto, and Ultra Europe. Don’t worry EDC fans, they’ll be in Vegas this month as well! No matter where you are in the world, there will be plenty of chances to see them, and who knows… a new song exclusive preview mid-set is entirely possible.
