Au5 has been going at it for most of this year, releasing more solid records than you probably would have seen across 2016. Well, his latest EP, a collaborative effort with vocalist Cristina Soto, is so good that it’ll force you to take notice of someone who has an innate ability to put the music back into electronic dance, as he says himself. Freefall (the title track) is an Electro House tune with Dubstep influences, while Shock Diamond and Emergence are Dubstep through and through, except with Cristina Soto’s vocal talents giving each song a personality that makes the EP so much more fulfilling to listen to. Au5 even contributes a remix of his own song (Emergence) that’s a lot more chill than the other three before it drops into an insane Melodic Dubstep drop about three minutes in. If you like your Dubstep hard but with a human edge to it, then Au5 and Cristina Soto have got you with Freefall. Check it out below.
