For those that do not know, Gorillaz are back in action with a new album, Humanz, set to release in late April. To build up the excitement for the album, the group has released four singles that are automatically downloaded when the album is pre-ordered. With an all-inclusive electronic band and diverse featured artists, the group has released four, extremely diverse tracks.
The first four tracks are as followed:
Track 2: Ascension (feat. Vince Staples)
They brought on a great artist for this. Vince Staples is a young rapper who has been coming up the past year or two. Working with him, the group does a bit of a trippy style of music. The instrumentals work hard to accompany the vocals, instead of giving a consistent beat throughout the track. There is no set melody or rhythm, as the beat changes to progress the track, which I think is something good for Vince Staple style tracks.

Track 4: Saturnz Barz (feat. Popcaan)
Saturnz Barz has a bit of a laid back rhythm to it, starting off with a moderately slow bass beat. It gives Popcaan a chance to sing on the track and not speed through his verses.

Track 10: Andromeda (feat. D.R.A.M.)
Andromeda takes the most house-style beat to it. D.R.A.M. providing the vocals over an up-beat rhythm from start to finish gives a relax style house track to dance along to.

Track 20: We Got The Power (feat. Jehnny Beth)
A slow intro, focused on vocals it progresses slowly, adding instrumental after instrumental. Jehnny Beth’s vocals are a big part of this track. The track evelops into a quick, upbeat song driven by a crescendo-ing percussion.

As stated, the full album comes out late April. Until then, enjoy these four tracks and pre-order the album here.
