Illenium is back with more new melodic dubstep for his growing fan base, this time utilizing the incredible voice of Kerli. While melodic dubstep isn’t new, Illenium continues to show the dance music community that dubstep can be just as emotionally connective as trance or other genres. He bends and breaks the “rules” of dubstep, and instead of throbbing bass and soul-crushing sound, he takes the deep bass, the heavy kicks and roller coaster of melodies and rhythms and he puts them to beautiful vocals and pairs them with soulful lyrics to get at the very heart of your being.
“Sound of Walking Away” does all of this and more as it takes an emotional subject and with great lyrics and variable melodies, shows listeners what this sound may actually sound like. I’m sure that was beyond confusing, but if you listen to the track, I think you’ll understand. Enjoy!
