In the ever bubbling underground scene of UK Deep House, you can be sure to find a gem or two on occasion. Miss Mavrik and Kwedjatey’s new single Hello is just that: a combination of a catchy bassline, soulful vocals and a piano that gives the song that extra edge. The real magic happens, however, around mid way through the song where it starts progressing from an enjoyable yet somewhat standard Deep House tune into a style that throws back to the 80s and 90s, when House was in a pure form and just made you feel good. Credit to Miss Mavrik and Kwedjatey for achieving that, because sometimes a hark back to the old school can prove to be the breath of fresh air that we all needed.
