There’s something satisfyingly saccharine and ridiculously sweet about this release. Musically, it’s swathes of trumpet, brass and piano chords – pop music dialled up to 11 or more. Ear-splittingly infectious melodies and a overall feel good sound, it’s hard to believe that Sad Eye, the producer behind “Chemistry” describes himself as, according to his Facebook account, a “depressed producer from Sweden.”
Whether the former is true is unclear, the latter is definitely a fact and “Chemistry” certainly doesn’t sound depressing at all. With vocals courtesy of Swedish Red Elephant and fellow Swede producer Ted Nights also featured, you’d be hard pressed to find a more happy musical number.
“Chemistry” is out now on Universal Music Sweden and you can stream a copy here.
