EDM mainstay Morgan Page has launched a new weekly podcast series, “Airwave.” Featured in the debut episode are the Dutch electronic dance music act, Sick Individuals, consisting of Rinze “Ray” Hofstee and Joep “Jim” Smeele. With new episodes scheduled for every Tuesday, Airwave is a conversation hosted by Morgan Page where music and technology come together to provide a glimpse behind the artists and architects of creativity and technology.
Morgan Page told us “I created Airwave because I’m obsessed with podcasts. I listen to them while running, on airplanes (where I basically live), and driving around LA traffic. Podcasts are like a remote mentorship and a second education rolled into one. They’ve helped guide my career and my creative thinking. For over 10 years and nearly 600 episodes I’ve done my mixshow “In The Air” but the format doesn’t allow for deep dive interviews. Mixshows also run into major copyright issues, so Airwave is 100% original content. It’s just my voice, a guest, and music beds that I’ve scored. The first episodes were recorded in person right before the pandemic, so I had to quickly pivot to remote recording. I’m so excited to hear what people think. It’s a whole new chapter in my career, an entirely new way to express my ideas, highlight people I admire, and get answers to questions I’ve been wanting to ask for years. Airwave will cover guests from several different disciplines – not just DJs, weaving a common thread between music and technology. Enjoy!“
