When you hear trap music, what do you think of? Triple hi-hats, the trap horn, and an influence of rap and hip-hop? Normally I’d agree with you, but if you pressed play below, you’ll hear some of that, while also hearing beautifully structured melodies reminiscent of house and trance influences. The blending of genres is normal, especially for dance music, but trap is rarely heard like this. The transitions from the more melodic sections into a more trap heavy breakdown.
Blending the two genres is difficult, and finding the balance between the melodic nature and the more hip-hop influenced vocals is time consuming, but Aero Chord and Klaypex definitely pull it off. If you haven’t already listened to the song a few times, hit play, and let us know what you think!
