After a large amount of EPs, dual releases and singles, Apashe has finally graced us all with a full length album, and as we’ve come to expect from the Montreal-based producer it’s nothing short of amazing. It’s bass in your face from start to end, but that doesn’t mean that it all sounds the same, because it doesn’t. Fuck Boy has elements of Jazz, Puttin on the Ritz Swing, Bad Queens Moombahton, a Funky VIP of Fire Inside, plus the usual Hybrid Trap and Bass House elements that Apashe typically produces. Not to mention his signature horns, which present themselves enough on the album to please the older Apashe fans but not enough to give him a lot of time to experiment with new sound designs, as well as the musicality of his productions.
Copter Boy is more a collection of really good music than anything else, and that’s what Apashe has always done best. If you like bass, chances are there will be more than a few tunes on this album that you’ll enjoy, so make sure to give it a listen!
