Armin van Buuren has been going hard on the releases to finish off the year, and unlike the music that he usually releases, this one with Vini Vici and Hilight Tribe is naughty. Great spirit utilises American Indian style chants in the intro, before stopping abruptly and then going straight into a psy trance drop. Yeah, psy-trance. You wouldn’t think that Indian tribal chants overlaid with psy trance would work, but it does, and it does really well. That turns back into Trance later on, before gradually going to a more progressive version to finish off the song. It’s safe to say that you won’t have heard anything like this before, and given that Armin van Buuren is behind this (partially) you know it’s going to be good. Give it a listen.
