Avicii was the first DJ that I saw perform live. I have heard a rather interesting progression as he developed this slight country backtone to the music that he produces. Whenever I hear new music, the artists that he has do vocals always sound like they belong in a cowboy hat, even if they are international artists. That being said Conrad Sewell is an amazing artist in Europe and Australia.
Besides the point, Taste the Feeling is a pretty slow track for Avicii but it has the similarities that all this vocal tracks can share where the hook is split over the drop of the song and the lyrics are lengthy but repetitive. Avicii has a definite style when he produces a vocal track that is clear here.
As far as the synths and the beats he used, Avicii brought back some that he uses in Stories but also uses some uncommon instrumentals. Overall, the song is definitely something that becomes catchy.
If you listen, you can hear the lyrics from the 2015 Coca-Cola campaign, celebrating the, “everyday moments.”
The Head of global music for The Coca-Cola Company, Joe Belliotti said, “As we searched for the perfect song, this one stood out from day one as something really special.” They had picked the song they wanted to redo, then they needed a producer. They tapped Avicii because of the long-running partnership they had. Finally, they had to search for the new vocalist who turned out in Sewell who was just stating to get make the music scene in the United States.
