The Black Madonna may not be the most recognizable name for most people, but has really been cementing a name for herself in the disco and techno underground. A mastermind behind the deck, her assortment of vinyls is not something to joke around with as the lively woman will execute and perform so crisply and leave you in awe. It is no surprise that she came in at #10 on the top 100 for Resident Advisor this year.
In regards to the song, I only have one word: masterpiece. From beginning to end, it’s an emotional and uplifting voyage that crosses all borders and travels to lands far and wide. The mix of violins, piano keys, and minimal percussion comes together with such ease that it’s as if the track made itself and perfected every note and tune. At 10 minutes, it may seem lengthy, but the Black Madonna is able to keep us aboard and ride this track for its entirety whilst loving every second of it. Truly one of the best songs that have come out in recent months, easily.
