While the news of Carl Cox ending his legendary 15 year run at Space Ibiza is disappointing, the distinguished house and techno producer has announced a new venture in launching a brand new festival in Australia.
Carl Cox will be curating a techn0 themed festival next April and bringing it to the big cities of Melbourne and Sydney. Cox spoke to inthemix stating that he was looking to start an underground house and techno festival, calling it Pure.
Apparently he has reached out to a variety of international DJs who have shown lots of interest in performing at Pure. Cox has promised to make this a festival of the best music and best DJs, and hopes to make this an annual event in Australia.
Not only does it look like he will attempt to make this permanent, but Carl Cox plans to speak at EMC (Electronic Music Conference Sydney) before the festival itself launches. This a great chance to hear one of the legends of dance music speak about a variety of topics. We’ll release more info about this as it becomes available!
