Last night was the MTV VMA’s at Madison Square Garden in New York. Everyone was keeping their eyes out for the obvious individuals such as Kanye West, Beyonce, etc. What we were keeping our eyes on was The Chainsmokers and Halsey who performed their number 1 hit single, “Closer” in front of all those artists. This is huge for electronic dance music as it shows that the sky’s the limit. Drew and Halsey got incredibly close while Alex was doing his thing. They all killed it. I remember the first time I saw them. I was at the Borgata and this was prior to “Selfie.” Not trying to be a hipster especially because I wasn’t originally there to see them. I was there to see the opener who my buddy knew. I somehow ended up in the booth with the duo and one of them played drums on my head. I still wish to this day I got one of the #TeamDrew or #TeamAlex shirts, but whatever. Now they played at the VMA’s at MSG.
