From the brilliant mind of Harvey Goldfinch, Chime is an electronic music project that is known for breaking down the barriers of genre. Based out of Leeds, England, he has been producing music since 2010 and under a variety of aliases. Chime’s unique style combines melodic and heavy soundscapes and is influenced by the artist’s passion for video games. Since the debut of the alias in 2015, Chime has had many major releases and has gained recognition in the worldwide bass music scene.
Over the years, Chime has released music on several prominent labels within the dubstep spectrum, such as Disciple, Never Say Die, Ophelia, Subsidia, and his own label, Rushdown. With each release, Chime has played an important role in the evolution of dubstep, supporting other artists and bringing the sound of 2011/12 into the present. Through his signature style of color bass Chime is now reigning in the future of EDM. A prime example of this is his brand new single “The Other Side”.
A special collab with Au5, “The Other Side” is packed with interstellar effects, hypnotic build-ups, and invigorating drops. Put out on the prime imprint of Monstercat, this color bass anthem has been one of Chime and Au5’s most iconic tracks on their 2022 nationwide tour. Showcasing both artists’ extreme level of creativity in sound design, “The Other Side” kicks off what is set to be a monumental year for Chime and Au5.
