Jauz has enjoyed a meteoric rise into EDM fame over the last few months with release after release, and he’s put his own spin on the scene yet again. This time he’s released a remix of a remix, putting his own deep house spin on Dillon Francis’ spin on Deadmau5’s original progressive house banger “Some Chords”. It’s quite a polarising song – you will either love it or hate it. The lacklustre kick to start off the drops along with a somewhat confusing synth progression was an interesting choice, but this fixes itself as it develops into a better deep house beat that makes more sense. The build-ups and breakdowns were well done, and pay proper homage to Dillon Francis’ remix, whilst still keeping elements of the original too. Some would say that a remix wasn’t necessary for this song, let alone a re-remix, but it’s another song that would fit perfectly as a surprise switch in a set. Have a listen below.
