Delta9 Releases From The Streets Vol. 1 Compilation Album

February 4, 2017 by Ty Sterling

A brief summary of what to expect going into this album is as you might expect from the name of it is, what the artists of Delta9 Recordings were raised on and are going back to their roots to revisit what made drum & bass what it is today. Think in the sense of Outer Edges by Noisia but… more barebones. This entire compilation is incredibly minimalistic but at the same time you can almost recognize the elements within the songs and translate them over to how drum and bass is today.

A song I’d like to touch on is Samurai, it is a prime example of what I envision jungle to be in this day and age and how I hope it continues to be. Another one is Okkupied – Immune, the overall instrumental of the track is incredibly ambient but at the same time, so enthralling that I want to repeat the song non-stop. Nonetheless, the rest of this compilation is MASSIVE and please give every song a listen. Check it out below!
