There is a story behind every DJ and how they got into the music business and into production. Some are by-chance things that just happened to work out, others began at an early age and never stopped. DJ Meetch has a story all his own that helped launch his career and give him quite the perspective.
Beginning at an early age with the drums, Meetch’s taste for music could not be satisfied only playing the drums. Everything changed one night when walking to a friend’s house on a snowy night, he was struck by a car and placed into a medically induced coma. A month of silence and a month of rehabilitation and the world was ready for a recovered Meetch.
MEETCH: “I have no feeling on the top of my head and I lost full hearing in my right ear due to the accident. I got kicked out of an awesome band and then decided to move on.”
After the accident, one night out in NYC changed the course of his life. Attending Lotus in NYC and seeing a DJ by the name of Nit Grit open the show led to a life altering decision, and DJ Meetch was born.
