We didn’t see this coming! Circus Records label mates Doctor P and Flux Pavilion have collaborated on not one, not two, but three new songs and man do they go hard. The first track is the title track and features Jarren Benton on vocals, spitting fire while the two producers lay down some sick wubs.
Fuckers has three words: What’s up fuckers? Dubstep’s what’s up yet again, and the two producers show their sense of humour with a lead that sounds like a bird call overlaying a psy-trance beat. Well, until it drops into pure bird call 2011-style Dubstep. I never thought that I’d be typing those three words together, ever really, and that shows how unique Fuckers is.
Stampede starts off teasing Trap, but like Fuckers decides that that’s too normal and instead drops into Dubstep that’s basically the embodiment of the noise that you hear just before you go into a final boss level in a retro game. Or when you’re balancing on the edge of something and just about to fall off. I can’t describe it. You have to listen to it. All of it.
Party Drink Smoke is one of the freshest, most unique and light hearted EPs that you’ll hear, which is very impressive for a genre that sort of died about 3 or 4 years ago. I said it just before and I’ll say it again, you’ve got listen to it – it’s quite possibly the most enjoyable Dubstep that you’ll have heard since 2011.
