I had the opportunity to speak with Matthew Steeper a few weeks ago (I intended to put it out sooner, but technical difficulties). Matthew is a Canadian singer, songwriter and producer based in Los Angeles. You may recognize him from Darren Styles, Project 46, Slander, and many more artists. Normally, we talk to DJ’s and/or producers, but Matthew is predominantly a singer/songwriter (although he can produce). This interview is by far one of the most interesting ones I have ever done because I was curious how the whole process worked and he goes into quite the details. We also discuss his unique and very fascinating background and how he got where he is today. This also includes the darker underbelly of the music industry. He provides some great insight and tips.
