EDMbiz Conference & Expo 2016 begins Announcing Events and Speakers

EDMbiz Conference & Expo 2016 will take place from June 14th through June 16th at the Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. The conference has made the first announcements regarding who will be speaking and what programs will be occurring during the fifth year of the event. On April 19th announcements regarding Keynotes, panelists, and events were released. According to Billboard, the lineup so far includes:

Keynote Speakers:

  • Moby, Electronic dance artist
  • Bob Lefsetz, American music industry critic and author of the email newsletter and blog, the Lefsetz Letter
  • Pasquale Rotella, Insomnia Founder and CEO
  • John Amato, President of Billboard and of The Hollywood Reporter
  • Matt Medved, Senior Editor at Billboard

Panelists include:

  • Laidback Luke, Electronic dance artist
  • Paul Oakenfold, Electronic dance artist
  • Markus Schulz, Electronic dance artist
  • Jauz, Electronic dance artist
  • Marshmello, Electronic dance artist
  • Junkie XL, Electronic dance artist
  • Danny Howard, BBC Radio 1 producer and director
  • Meda Azarfar, Vice President of marketing communications for The Recording Academy
  • Raymond Leon Roker, founder of URB Magazine and head of content at Goldenvoice

There will also be a Hackathon, the first for the conference, at Exchange LA. Produced in partnership with CODEMKRS, who also produces the Hackathons at SXSW, Bonnaroo, and Outside Lands.

Rotella told Billboard, “This year’s conference will bring together top artists, executives, and experience-makers to share ideas and discuss innovative ways to continue the momentum and provide invaluable advice for newcomers on how to make their mark on the scene.”
