There is no hiding the fact that when Diplo and Skrillex released their Jack Ü album, I was playing it on repeat because of how much I enjoyed the track. It also is no surprise that the track, Where Are Ü Now featuring Justin Bieber became a huge hit. When you have a huge hit like that, it is common for other artists to do covers of your song. One in particular was Ember Island. From their version sprung LIONE’s version.
He added an awesome instrumental to Ember Island’s alternative version. LIONE took this track and brought it a bit back to the dance scene. This is definitely not a style that I would expect on a Jack Ü song. The track, which rely heavy bass, electronic synths, and vocal distortions reminds me a lot of tracks by Porter Robinson, another artist I am a big fan of.
Huge shoutout to LIONE on this track, especially because last year when he released his remix, it was his first remix. Check the track out below and if you are feeling it, there is a free download opportunity available.
