[Event Preview] Seven Lions At Concord Music Hall 11/27

November 27, 2015 by Nick Pesavento

SevenLions-concord

The Concord event sold out a few days ago but promoters became aware that there were still many people who wanted to purchase tickets. Rumor has it they saw this as an opportunity to make a little bit of extra money, so they released more tickets. Because of this, the event may be crowded and a little warm because Concord isn’t exactly a big venue with a capacity of 1550. The crowd usually varies in age anywhere from 18 to 30, luckily though, Concord usually brings out an orderly crowd, unlike some venues.

Not to familiar with the smaller openers, but Aryaylion is a known as an up and coming artist from Chicago. He has a very different sound that makes him stand out. He says his genre is trap, but his trap has a pretty feel to it unlike a lot of other trap artists. With this show being at home for him, my expectations are very high. He is known for putting on an amazing show, so I am sure the crowd won’t be let down and will really get everyone excited for Seven Lions to come up right after.

I’ve seen Seven Lions at SAMF this year and like always he blew me away. He is one of the most talented diverse artists I have ever seen, and you can watch him feel everything he plays as he plays it, which is so beautiful. The way he puts his own twist on dub step, makes his music unusual but extraordinary all at the same time. He first became famous after winning a Beatport remix contest in 2012, with a remix of Above and Beyond’s track. The tracks he won with was a remix of, “You Got to Go”. If you listen to it you completely understand the style that he has. I call his music feely dubstep, but it’s usually known as chill step, because his music really does play with your heartstrings while having that heavy dubstep kick at the same time. I have no idea what he has in store for tonight, but knowing how amazing an artist he is, he will put on a show to remember.

Thanks to Ashlyn for the event preview and we cannot wait to see how it was for her!!
